BUSINESS ENGLISH COACH
About me

I did not start out as a teacher. I started out as a banker.
After graduating from Bocconi University in International Management, I spent 16 years in investment banking, eight of them in London, at Managing Director level.
My days were spent advising major international clients, running high-stakes meetings, and presenting to senior stakeholders across Europe and beyond.
English was not just a language I used. It was the tool I worked with every single day, under pressure, at the highest level of international finance.
In 2025 I made a deliberate choice to leave banking and use everything I had learned about professional communication to help others do the same.
That is why I became a Business English coach.
What I bring is something most coaches cannot offer: I have lived the environment you are trying to succeed in.
For many talented people, English is the one thing standing between where they are and where they want to be.
That gap is exactly what I work on.
How I teach
My teaching method is the synthesis of two worlds: real professional experience and formal pedagogical training. After completing my TEFL Level 5 Diploma, I combined the best of student-centred communicative methodology with the structured, results-driven approach I developed over 16 years In international finance. The result is coaching that is practical, authentic, and built entirely around you.
Speaking first
You at the centre
Every lesson prioritises communication over theory. Grammar is a tool for communicating, not an end in itself. We use English immediately, in realistic scenarios drawn from your actual working life.
No generic textbooks. Every lesson is adapted to your specific needs, your professional context, and your goals. Your motivation drives everything we do together.
Mistakes are mandatory
Confidence and authority
I never interrupt your flow to correct you mid-sentence. Correction is intelligent and targeted, designed to build your fluency and confidence rather than undermine it.
Knowing the right words is not enough. Whether you are preparing for a high-stakes interview or leading a room of senior stakeholders, the professionals who succeed speak with presence, clarity and conviction. We work on how you come across — not just what you say but how you say it, so your English sounds as authoritative as your thinking.

Fun facts
At home I only speak English, with my two British Shorthair cats. Linguistic authenticity starts with daily habits, and they are my most demanding audience.
I once slept in Bolivia at -22°C in a refuge with no hot water. If I can handle that, I can handle anything, and so can you.
My first ever English student was my brother, when I was 10. The lesson nearly ended in a fight. My method has improved considerably since then.
I am a serial learner. In recent years I have tried breadmaking, creative writing, ceramics and theatre. I know exactly what it feels like to start from zero.
My MBTI personality type is ENFJ, known as "The Teacher." Shared by only 2% of the population, and by people like Barack Obama and Michael Jordan.
